Cashing out early
You don't have to wait for a market to be resolved. Until the market's cut-off time you can usually sell your position back at the current price.
How it works
- Open the market and find your position.
- Choose to cash out. You will see how much you will receive, including any fee, before you confirm.
- Confirm, and the amount goes straight to your balance.
Why cash out?
- Lock in a profit. If you bought at 0.40 and the price is now 0.75, you can take the gain without waiting.
- Limit a loss. If the price has fallen, cashing out returns part of your money instead of risking all of it.
Things to know
- The cash-out price can be lower than the price shown elsewhere on the market, especially when few people are trading.
- After the cut-off time, trading stops and you can no longer cash out. Your position stays open until the market is resolved.
- Once confirmed, a cash-out can't be undone.
